    I suspect not.
Unless the letters on the cap say anything more than how to open.
How do know it's an insecticide?
The best thing to do is to dispose of it as there is a good chance it could be on the banned list.
The local council tip often has a box for these to go in.

It was in a drawer in the garage along with a bottle of Sybol-2 (labels on bottle and box intact)
I always keep similar stuff together.

The picture shows a generic blue HDPE container with a red tamper evident screw cap; these have been used for allsorts of things over the years. I've seen them with various cleaning agents, brake fluids, drain cleaner etc.
The best thing to do is dispose of safely, the Sybol 2 has also been withdrawn from garden use (pre 2007 I think); it contained pirimiphos methyl and this is now licensed use in grain stores and flour mills to control mites and insects.
Probably past the best before date then.

Even if you knew what was in it ...it is probably now illegal...
without exact directions as to dose it could be dangerous.

          Dispose of it asap...safely.

Years ago I helped out on the counter of a garden centre when they were short staffed (manager was a friend). That looks like the old container version of Provado Ultimate Bug Killer. It was in a blue container, exactly that shape and size with the red cap and a clear plastic cover that fitted over the cap and under the lip near the right hand end of the upper part.

If I remember correctly it was banned. :dunno: Dispose of safely.

Best got rid of in an environmentally way, if you dont know what it is its hardly likely to be any use whatsoever.
Take it to the local tip and hand it in as has been suggested.

                  Thanks @shiney and @Nikolaos
I never remember buying any product called Provado Ultimate Bug Killer.
However, the plastic top was in my drawer although had cracked so much as to become unusable.
From @Nikolaos's pic, I recall that the lid right hand side (you can see a vertical 'partition' in the pic) was used as the measure for mixing with water.
All your recommendations are absolutely valid - disposal via council facility this weekend.
                  Many thanks to all !!
