I think this is something fairly basic but I don't actually know what it is. I have had it on my sunny terrace in a pot since last summer. Nothing else on the terrace is eaten but it has been got badly. What is the plant and what is attacking it? [IMG]

No. It isn't. I just have it on the terrace because I don't know what it is and so don't know where to put it. It has rhodedenron type leaves but shows no sign of flowering. The leaves are so rubbery I am sure it is not slugs which is the main pest problem in my garden.

Don't know why the image is not showing. I couldn't find a way to put an image in my post so I used the link that allows you to use an external host. I used imgur as I have used them a lot in the past and they are reliable.

              Hello Mikhail ...welcome :)

Can you describe the eaten foliage? For example, are the leaves eaten at the edges and look "u" shaped? If so, it sounds like vine weevils. They attack rhododendrons, azaleas, fuchsias and other plants. If the plant looks "droopy" ...you said "rubbery"....and you havent been over watering it, it could be the larvae of the vine weevils eating the roots. This is a good time to apply treatments for these pests....both chemical and biological are available.:)

Difficult though to say anything more precise without seeing a picture though:)

To add a url for the image to show..add the url code to the icon image on the right next to the smiley icon.
