What is this plant called; when is best time to prune it; what is correctd way to prune it

    Think it's a Hebe (Albicans maybe).If you live in a warm part of the UK probably ok to prune now. If you live as I do in a colder part I wouldn't prune until next Spring.It looks pretty leggy to me so I'd prune it to about 6 inches from the soil and then feed the plant. Hasten to add I am not a Hebe expert and others might suggest a different treatment.

      Passport Hebes can get very leggy .I prune mine back in early April , as Silu to about 6 inches from the ground.

      My experience with Hebes is that really they dont like hard pruning.
      I'd prune back a few stems and see if they reshoot.
      If they do, then I would cut it all hard back next spring.

      I agree with HarryS - mine had got very leggy
      I pruned it back yesterday - about 6 inches from the ground.
