Aaron, the Salvia splendens is a tender perennial - but it doesn't seem to do well the second year (after a winter under glass). So I take cuttings, at this time of the year, rather than grow it again from seed. But seed will work well.

My Rose 'Irish Eyes' has been particularly nice. But then again I do favour my roses. See a lot of roseless gardens these days, maybe Roses are not as popular as they were........or it could just be me?

Well as I don't have a garden I don't really have a star plant this year however when I do get a garden the first thing thats going in it will be a Cercidiphyllum japonicum (The Katsura Tree) I think this tree has possibly the best smelling leaves (when rotting) of any tree, I defy anyone to walk past it and not stop to see where the toffee smell is coming from :luv: and also they make quite a beautiful open tree when mature

:) Very interesting to see what others favour.

For me two showoffs, one late and one early.

Snowdrops ,a good dooer and a long laster and how they survive in the frost and snow is a miracle...............It never lets you down :thumb:

Gaillardia,a flashy perennial that I love for it's bright summer and Autumn colour.
