    Hello,

I have quite a small garden at home but also looks a bit dull. I have some lavender growing but need some other flowers to brighten it up. Can anyone suggest something that would brighten up my garden and is easy to maintain?

    Hello crazydaisyx:)

    Can you post a picture?
Does your lavendar grow well there? If so, it is prob a warm garden???

Echinaceas come in colours from white to purple and are long flowering, aster Frikartii Monch will supply lavendar blue flowers from mid July into autumn. Hypericum Hidcote is a semi evergreen shrub that has bright yellow flowers all summer....will contrast well with your lavendar. Euryops pectinatis is an evergreen with grey green foliage with delightful yelllow flowers for months.
Achilleas too ...they have tactile ferny foliage with flowers of yellow, orange, red, pink etc....very attractive. Salvia caradonna has spikes of blue flowers, veronicas too (very similar), penstemons too, that are evergreen and long flowering,
Look out for verbena bonariensis.....a very tall, eye catching perennial with blue flowers for ages.
You could still pick up some cosmos plants crazydaisyx.......beautiful annuals in white, red, purple etc and will certainly enliven your garden right up to autumn.

There are lots of shrubs, grasses and perennials to provide colour throughout the year too :)
