    Hi all

Any ideas what this shrub is in front for my buddleia? It was loved by bees and butterflies this year but started growing huge and over the path.
After it had flowered, it started looking spindly so I've cut it down to about 60cm and fear I may have killed it.
I did take some cuttings from it but since I have no clue what I'm doing, they will either take or they won't.
    Thanks in advance.
    Andrea

The photos are rather small, but my guess is a salvia, maybe Salvia uliginosa?

Thank you so much @Clare G. Unfortunately those were the only pictures I took of it.
