Just bought the attached for a quid in b and q. Any advice regarding how I might ensure it survives. Snow just now so certainly won't be planting out right this second.

That's a good £1's worth Begoodian ! :dbgrtmb: Hopefully you have a name for it, to distinguish it from the other 3000 Clematis varieties ! It's evergreen , isn't it ? Make sure you leave it outside in a sheltered spot , and I am sure someone with experience on evergreen clematis will be along . I have three clematis to plant which would have been fine now but I think mid-April may be wiser.

        Hi All

What about the Cartmanii Group of evergreen clematis , plus with Armandii lots of varieties , appleblossom , snowdrift etc so the leaves may be different ?

I agree with you H keep it sheltered spot out of the winds ect until the weather breaks or the greenhouse would be ideal

          Hi

Can you keep in a greenhouse , if not keep it on a very cool window sill at least for the next week until this cold snap stops then put it out , have you a fence wall it will be growing up ? .

My back porch is practically a greenhouse so will keep in there til cold passes. Will stick it out in my border after about a week. From what i can read, they aren't too fussy about the type of soil?
