My strawberry plants have stopped fruiting so unsure what to do next I know some people on my allotment site cut them all back and they re-grow next year.

Trim them back, clean them off, pot up any runners and feed with fish blood and bone Paul. :)

Nope , a powderish type of product, available in most places, a handful per square mtr. lightly forked in as a general guide line, though do use gloves and avoid inhaling any dust.

Morning Paul, I actually cut everything back hard. It cleans the plants of rubbish and they regrow fast. Feed, water and mulch for great crop next year :)

What is the best thing to use to mulch them I was thinking of bark or straw.

Yes, either Paul. I prefer straw from spring onwards though so maybe bark for now and straw when fruit is forming (keeps fruit clean, dry and slug free) :)
