Hello all. I have a small 1.5m x 3m section of garden out the front of our house. It faces west so only gets sun im the afternoon. At the moment, the area is covered with rock pebbles but I would really lile to plant some nice bushes to cover the area. Any ideas what I could plant?

    Hello Matt :)
Hydrangeas? Check out the Paniculata types like Limelight. Flowers all summer. Pruned in early spring it will make a 6’ floriferous shrub :)
A camellia would be evergreen and produce white, pink or red flowers in late winter through to spring.
I would also plant a hardy geranium in front ....Rozanne will flower from late spring to autumn forming an attractive wide spreading foreground plant.
Hypericum Hidcote is a shrub I enjoy. Evergreen or semi evergreen, nice foliage and large yellow flowers all summer. Very easy shrub to grow.
A hellebore orientalis too would suit there....evergreen perennial, nice large leaves and flowers from late winter into late spring. Flowers from white, pink, red, purple, etc., are a delight in the early year. :)
