I thought that I'd lost them, but had just forgotten where I had put them!

The Azalias seem to be a little ahead this year. Mine are coming out already and should look good in about a week.
The Forest Flame (Pieris) is bright red at the tips and is looking healthy

Sorry for the rubbish photo, but I'm chuffed that Salvia discolor has opened its first blooms today! It has been outdoors for a few weeks now, although it does get moved into the garage for cold nights.

We can't have an April thread without some Daffodils can we. Here's a couple from work today:

Most of the Daffys up here have shown off and are now dying back. Nice to see some are still out there.

They're just about reaching their peak down here at the moment Gcc. Wasn't too sure how good they would be this year, after last year's very dry spring when they had such poor growing conditions, but they seem to be doing fine.

My Daffs remain a no show:dunno:

At least Uvularia grandiflora does its stuff reliably, even after it was lifted and put in a pot.

                Lovely photos, everyone :dbgrtmb:

Our daffs are slow this year but the tulips are looking good - haven't taken a photo yet.

I took a few quick shots the other day

The rumours of the smell are quite exaggerated. If a large amount of them bloom at the same time they can be unpleasant but an occasional plant around the garden is not a problem. Their 'scent' is not evident for all of their flowering period but only until they have been pollinated, then the smell stops. It would normally only occur for about 24 hours at the most as the smell attracts the flies and they pollinate the flower.

That's the salesman pitch done! So if you are coming to the Open Day there will be some plants on sale :snork:
