I thought we might start off the December "What's looking good in December" Thread with some pics I took over the weekend while looking at what needs cutting down or moving. Not all the things that attracted my eye was flowers but just sometimes texture and shape.

You're right, loli, it's amazing what's still in the borders if you look. The roses still seem to be trying to flower, some better than others. Here's a few more pics from the weekend.

Salvia discolor is being heroic and starting to bloom again in the greenhouse (it is sub-tropical)...............

Last of the Lobelia tupa blooms..................

And another of the perennial Lobelia is trying to get in on the act too..................

Thanks Sheal, they were taken just as the Sun was going down which is why there's a "glow" in the pics.

The rose is "Masquerade", Sheal, which is the one I bought dry root in a cellophane bag from a now defunct Supermarket over 30 years ago for 50p. It's still producing buds and flowering fine even at this late time of year. I don't often leave Hips on the the roses but I left a few on Masquerade.

Bits and pieces around the garden - berries, seed heads and so on. Heavy dew added some interest as well.

You lot who are taking photos atm, are you professional snappers?! You make my efforts look pitiful and I never do my plants justice. Really lovely to see such interesting bits and pieces especially at this time of the year.

Stunning pics. Don't think the camera on my phone could compete lol. Which is a shame as I still have some lovely roses in bloom, some colourful wall flower and 'lily' shaped leaves with a seed pod that I'd like identified. Must have a go tomorrow and see if I can take anything worth sharing.
