Thank you Perki yes people always say how lovely it is, compared to some of them that have no lawn at all and only pieces of slate for the front garden, it's such a waste.

So long it's not artificial grass - there are several bungalows round here with small patches at the front and it is so obviously fake.

The lawns at the front of our house were replaced with gravel. It suits our needs better. It's just a shame that I struggle to keep it weed free. I still have the grass on the pavement side of the hedge and in the back. Im not a fan of artificial turf. It doesn't look, smell or feel right.

One of the most enjoyable parts of gardening for me is mowing....The smell, the stripes and the therapy of it :)

                      Your garden is Lovely @Logan
@Verdun IMHO the garden is not complete unless the grass is looking good...a scraggy grass patch will let the rest of the picture down and at the minute mine is not how it should be :(

Ok here is a few pics from this morning's little walk around...a walk around which included tidying the greenhouse, way too many tomato plants this year, next season will be different..I'm only growing 1 Sweet and 4 hot peppers this year Cayanne, Apache, Bhut jolokia and Carolina Reaper. 3 lunchbox sized F1 Cucumbers, Lettuce Leaves, and a few Marigolds. Next year I will concentrate on a few more things plants and succulents..Too many salad items this year.

Yes you see correctly, I made Pot Man which I've subsequently named "John Norwood" after my late Grandad (a keen gardener in his own right) a 3D Dickie Bow on my new CNC machine, doesn't he look dapper :)

I will have to make sure I trim my roses for next year.
