    I used to grow the mesems. roders, they called them livingstone daisys then.
    I stopped when we had a series of cloudy summers and the show was poor. Maybe its time to start again.
    Did the conifers overtake the alliums? :D

    Pete - I did the same! they are so miserable when the sun does not shine.

    Love the flowering conifers, I am all for sticking bulbs in shrubs, but trouble is if you forget about them as I did with my eremerus under a budlea.

    Hot and dry July following hot and dry June and a hosepipe ban has made life difficult. The hollyhocks are quite happy though

    Hows it going Hornbeam, liking the hollyhocks I am only doing purple this year and I am stuggling to find somewhere to plant it outside its pot.

    my hollyhocks have dissapeared some things are never happy in my garden..will try again next year as they would fit in well..everything is really late in my garden and poppys are still coming out..this is one of my favourites..

    dont ask! i never label anything..and forget i can dry you some seeds if you like it..as everything is really late its only JUST flowering..its rather nice though..i still have poppys growing without heads :eek: as i am all behind ..

    Its nice but I have no room. I have seeds for a similar frilly one in purple but no room. :(
