Ah, Cherry Blossom! So it really is spring then!

The second of the years highlights for me is the Hermodactylus blooming!

Gorgeous shots, and hellebores, hellebores... (I must have more of them.:heehee:)
It's becoming lively here, too. I'm always lagging behind with the blooming season, but it's nonetheless charming.

        Fantastic blooms Longk and Angelina.
My garden is starting to show some colour although most of the perennials and shrubs have only recently been planted so nothing is established yet.
        Narcissus/Jonquil.

Coronilla Valentina (Brookhill Blue?) planted in January.

An early flowering Dicentra Alba bought as tuber in Wilko early Feb with a growing shoot. Due to the warm weather it has romped away and is now flowering.

I do like the pea type blooms and that Coronilla ticks all the boxes for me!
Talking of pea like blooms, my seed grown Sutherlandia has been loving this weather too and is close to blooming for the first time!

A plant I like is Ranunculus "Brazen Hussy" with the black leaves and yellow flowers:[IMG]

It seems to like semi shades and will self seed if happy

Armandii, I like the look of that little Ranunclus.
When it seeds itself, do the seedlings come true to type or does it tend to revert to the green form? I notice some plants at the back of the picture have green leaves rather than the coloured ones.

A couple more quick ones taken in my garden this week:

Pruned my large Buddleia last weekend, which revealed a patch of violets flowering quite happily beneath it.

Hi Trunky I've grown various Celandines (the Ranunculus) for years, from my experience Brazen Hussy; with the purple leaves always come true from seed (I've had them popping up all over the place) unless there are different ones nearby, in this case they readily hybridise.

I grew the native ones (some distance away from the others), a white flowered one, an orange, an orange double and Brazen Hussy, after a couple of years I had some quite interestin hybrids growing...:blue thumb:

Love your skimmia, Simbad. I have one called Fragrant Cloud', which doesn't produce berries but does smell very nice - a bit like hyacinths. The only thing is, I have a feeling it's giving me hay fever! Whenever I go near it my eyes start to stream ...

Celandine (Ranunculus); this one has mottled leaves with a black stripe down the centre; the purple leaf at the back is a seedling of Brazen Hussy that has snuggled up to it

Thanks Claralou , this one doesn't produce berries either but smells amazing, don't know which variety it is, could be the same as yours:biggrin:
My hayfevers started too, isn't it early this year mine usually starts the end of April!!, just started my one a day tablets today, if I take them every day it normally helps, such a pain when you love being outdoors, one year I had it so bad I had blisters on the whites of my eyes, quite scary:hate-shocked:.
                            That Akeiba's gorgeous Bilbo :love30:.
