Whats this ?

    My neighbour gave me this plant today,I know it needs some tlc but I don't know what it is.

    Hi Dalbuie, my thinking is thats a Cycas revoluta but if its not then please forgive me as its been a long time since I worked in a garden centre.

    Yep. Get it out of direct sunlight and it will recover

    Is that only for recovery, Hornbeam? Mine lives in full sunlight all day ... no reprieve up on the deck.

    Was you you, Pete, who told me not to turn it though as that is what causes distorted new leaves, which I can see this one already has. In my opinion, the two larger / older leaves need to be cut off; they appear to be in that state due to neglect.

    Thanks everyone, I looked at the site you mentioned Royster and I think you are right.I repotted it and took of the two larger leaves. hope it survives, they look lovely plants. [​IMG]
