        Hi,

The best part of Christmas Jiffy is Easter. :dbgrtmb: Roll on the daffodils and crocus.

Today's problem sorted; the welding regulator which caused me so much frustration is now being replaced by a brand new regulator totally free of charge; well done to Parweld for brilliant service. :):):)

I'm now ready for the new problem tomorrow.

        Kind regards, Colin.

            Maybe rain later.
I've got a young hedgehog in the garden, hope that he'll be alright.

I think most of us have suffered with a dull, dank, cold day, today, and I'm no different.:dunno: The early morning amble in the garden was done with a temperature of 38f and, predictably, Jenny the Cat was back indoors, sitting by the fire, than I was.
It's been miserably cold throughout the day with a top temperature of 42f, but the wind made it feel like it was in the lower 30f's. with dull skies to make it feel like "a stay indoors day". Right now the temperatue is 40f and the pressure reading is 981hpa.:cat-kittyandsmiley::coffee:

I'll see what the weather's like leading up to the day I go. If it's been rough then I'll take supplies with me.

For my friends here that aren't aware this has been a standing joke for some years. :) I lived on the Isle of Man for twenty four years and if the weather was bad for any considerable time the boats didn't sail - therefore no supplies. The first thing to disappear from the supermarket shelves were toilet rolls. Vegetables and fruit followed those in second place. A Hercules plane has also been known to fly in supplies in the past during longer spells of bad weather.

Today has been a mixture of sunshine and cloud. 3C/37F

Mine started doing that last night so we only had heat for about three minutes every couple of hours. I phoned our engineer last night and he came in this morning.

After 15 minutes of checking out the boiler and going up and down into the loft where our hot water cylinder is, he gave the motorised valve a whack, half a dozen times, with a spanner and everything is working perfectly. No charge. :blue thumb:

He said that when he was an apprentice he was taught that whacking things with a hammer or spanner was an important part of getting a qualification.

Sunny with blue skies at the moment but light rain has been predicted from 10am until 2pm and for some unsettling reason we have a weather warning in place for this....hmmm 'light ' rain?? ,I think they're not telling us the truth!!;) We'll have to wait and see. Very mild though with a high of 10C today.

After a week of cold temps (highs of 5c, lows of -2 - -4c) patterns like this on the windscreen one day... 1B56234A-4780-492F-B41F-B7016ABB2E92.jpeg

...and ice on the INSIDE the next!...

We have had a relatively mild night, and today the temperature has risen to around 9c. Tomorrow should be relatively mild, before a week of rain arrives. (Not that I’m complaining - if we don’t have rain soon, I’ll have to top up the pond!)
