      Hi,

I got out of bed at peace with the world this morning. I couldn't care less about Brexit or the forthcoming general election; our toilet flushes; our taps aren't leaking; water; gas and electric supplies all working; the roof still on the bungalow; gardens ready for winter; all jobs carried out on the bungalow; Blackie paid a visit in the night; it's a miserable morning outside; car is clean and fuelled; MOT sorted; road tax paid; comprehensive and GAP insurance fully up to date; exploded welder fully repaired; faulty regulator replaced; full cylinder of argon gas; lots of aluminium to play with; fan heater and five 2' square LED panel lamps in the workshop making it cosy; Bron's happy; I'm happy. Fully retired and we're de-stressing our lives; visitors to our door wanting something now turned away; we've not only grafted for a lifetime to now enjoy retirement we're jolly well going to enjoy retirement and want leaving well alone.

We're breaking free of all the misery and bad news which have surrounded us for so long; what's all this got to do with the weather? The weather too can do as it likes which obviously it will do so why worry about how much rain Blackie is putting down or how hard Gale tries to blow our bungalow down.

It's time for us to really enjoy life without being made to feel guilty; all the doom and gloom in the world has been rubbing off on us keeping our spirit low; NEW Years resolution is to cut down on moaning about how bad things are and to to enjoy the good things in life.

I'm now going to enjoy a mug of tea and a couple of bickies without feeling guilty then head into my cosy workshop where peace rules. This to the miserable world; :rasp:

      Kind regards, Colin.

My avatar is Christmassy :dbgrtmb: I spent that Christmas amongst the Red Colobus monkeys and they really were enjoying their life. :) They spent all day eating and chatting.

The whole tribe of them were quite friendly.

Mrs Shiney wanted to see whether one of them would grab her finger but it wasn't too sure. :noidea:

A mild dry day with almost no breeze and a temperature of 49f, although now the breeze has picked up to around 3mph. The temperature has dropped to 48f, it's still dry and the pressure reading is 988hpa.:cat-kittyandsmiley::coffee:

Yes, it is different here living further north @Logan. On Wednesday sunset is at 3.33pm and will continue that time for a number of days. Our daylight hours in summer are longer though. The Winter Solstice is on 22nd December as @Upsydaisy pointed out but it doesn't really have a connection to the way the daylight hours work. :)

Today has been wet and the wind is slowly picking up for a blasting tomorrow. 9C/48F
