When to cut back?

    My garden is full of verbena, echinacea, echinops and salvias.

    when should I cut these back? If and when I do cut back, weed and dress with compost, should I make sure the compost isn’t scattered on the crown of these plants?

    I cut all ours back in November :yikes:....probably not right but they've never complained and always return!!:bigthumb:
