When to grow Carrots

    The carrot's I have growing in my allotment are coming to an end.These are the first one's I planted.I have got some more which are half ready.Would it be ok to sow some more carrot seed now which would probably not be ready untill November/December.Will they overwinter.They are in large container's so they can be covered up to protect from frost.I t would be nice to have home grown carrots during the winter.

    I sowed some Early Nantes the other week, but it depends where you are. Slugs would be a problem when trying to overwinter them.
