when to plant gladiolus

    Can anyone advise the best time to plant Gladiolus Nymph corms in the midlands I would normally plant early spring but with these the OH bought them online and the site says autumn planting but also says spring planting in there write up
    "confused from the Black Country"

    Hi I always plant mine late March Early April once the soil has warmded up , I would leave till the spring you wont gain anything by planting early and will probably lose ££.

    Thanks that what I thought
    I feel sorry for beginners now adays I call it the "B&Q syndrome" out of season plants aslong as they sell they dont care about people being disappointed and wasting money
