I've got some strawberry runners from QD which I think are Florence and Elvira which are in a sealed plastic container with compost in a bag and wondered how long they would keep for as its really cold here in Suffolk, I also have a mini greenhouse (unheated) if that may help?

They'll keep a while as long as they are getting sunlight & staying moist, too long sealed and you'll be looking at mold problems though, so they would be better off potted up in the greenhouse.

I just received some strawberry runners, ones I ordered I mean - and I am going to HAVE to plant them today, although it is pouring with rain (and probably too early to plant them anyway :frown: ) because I am going to be away for 3 weeks, starting tomorrow!)

I reckon new strawberry plants will be fine outside from now. Strawberries are as tough as old boots. Mine keep surviving (and multiplying) outside, and my dad, who bought a tray of 6 young plants about 5 years ago now has about quarter of his allotment full of them.
