    Hi

My garden is all clay. I think I need a lot of topsoil to fill some beds in order to plant some veg. But I don't know where to buy it. A brief google gave me many suppliers. But I don't know which one I should go for. Anyone has experience to share?

    Thanks in advance.

Hi blacktulip, I use my builders merchant. A 1 tonne bag costs £40 inc delivery. I'm based in Scotland but you should have someone wherever you are. The quality is as good as bagged stuff I've bought no they deliver the next day. Good luck.

I'd go for spent mushroom compost rather than topsoil, you never know what weeds you'll be importing with topsoil :th scifD36:

Screened topspoil from a turf farm is the best way to do it :) If you're near Essex I can recommend some suppliers :)

What are you doing about the clay underneath? You could end up with a big garden if drainage is a problem due to compacted clay

I'm thinking of buying topsoil and getting it from topsoilshop, I've heard some quite good things about them and the bulk end will help do all of my garden. :hapfeet:
