Hello! When perennial plants & flowers have finished flowering and the weather is getting cold, is it ok to put them in a shed with a non opening window or would it be better to put them in a greenhouse over winter? In my case it would be one of those plastic walk in ones which I would put behind the shed, that area doesn't get much sun though. Thanks :spinning:

Most perennials are hardy and should just be cut down and left to themselves. If it's a half-hardy perennial it would need frost protection but most half-hardies are grown as annuals and thrown away at the end of the season.

What about when bulbs are planted in containers in the autumn for spring flowering? Should they be kept outdoors, a shed or plastic greenhouse?
