    Hi all,

New here and my first post.

Looking to level off my front garden and lay new turf.

As you can see I need to get rid of the rubbish and then start levelling it off.

Can I turn over the top layer of grass, then add top soil and lay on that?

    Thanks

    Dan

    Hiya Dan.....warm welcome :)
Yes, exactly that. A good time to sort your lawn too
When you turn over the top level of grass make sure you place it green side down and at least 20 or 30 cm deep.
Make sure you firm well and level well before you lay any turf.
The very best way to firm the soil is with your heels.....great exercise too:snorky:.....so heel walk, rake, heel walk, rake, etc. Do this several times.
    Enjoy your new lawn:)
