    They look very nice indeed.
At £30 or more, I'd've GPS built-in in case I lost those, too!
(Seriously, my giddy-aunt, at those prices you'd think they'd have a loop or something to attach a lanyard or chain to it so it can be secured to you whilst you're out and about.)

It's a long time since I bought secateurs, I must invest in some new one's. I wouldn't risk second hand, you won't know what condition the blades are in.

Secateurs as far as I can remember have never been cheap, but it's best to buy good quality if your pennies will run to it. :)

Felco's are some of the best, if you going to spend £30 on secateurs then you can't go far wrong with a good pair of Felco's

*I'll be watching the post for my free sample*

I bought some fiskers just before Xmas. Only because they were on special offer from £15 to £1.99 they look a bit like the ones chimneyrosega has linked. i find these great.

Can't beat Felco No. 8! That said, I did get a set of Squires own secateurs and they appear OK at least for the time being. Still prefer my felco's though:)

The Rose Article.jpg Do you remember ROLCUT Secateurs - Introduced and manufactured under licence by a notable Rosarian who was a Council Member of the Royal National Rose Society - You can read the whole history of these fine secateurs in the December 2011 edition of The Rose magazine (copied above) - The original manufactures still produces the exact same model, unchanged since 1924 - Have a look at these Links:

I think only the name of Rolcut is used now belive they are produced by Wilkinsons.
I used to live in Horsham West Sussex years ago rolcut had a factory there used to mine in for repair which they done free But the factory has long gone now .

I would go with all the rest Felcos are the best

The Rolcut company was bought by Fiskar Brands in 1994 who then closed down the factory in Horsham. Fiskars still own the name ROLCUT but the original secateurs themselves were initially made under licence from 1928 - 1940, then as a stand alone company from 1945 - 1994

                  See: http://www.original-lowe.com/the-company/history.html

(Fiskars also bought Wilkinson Sword Brand about the same time but this brand has now been sold on to the Energizer Group Inc. USA)

Here are some Rolcuts from my collection of vintage secateurs. The pair top left are the original German Fritz Howaldt Loewe model from 1927/8 - all the others are post 1945 Rolcuts made in England.

 I would never spend £30 on a pair of secateures as I am always losing them even though I usually wear a holster "I know I know" I think they usually end up in the recycling.
I would recommend these Yeomen Soft Grip, they are comfortable to use, very good value and good quality.
£8.50 on Amazon and £9.99 at the garden centre.
