i have many white poplars in my garden and would like a non-chemical way of killing them, are there any viruses, diseases or pests that i can apply which will kill the trees naturally
    thanks

    Hi newyorkgirl,

What is your reason for killing them off and how big are the trees you're on about? There are a number of ways to kill a tree; the quickest and easiest way is by using a saw and cutting them down. Is that not an option? If not, then by removing a ring of bark and underlying cambium layer around the base of the tree will stop water transport in the tree. This is a slow way of killing a tree though and will leave it unstable and liable to fall over.
