        Very good! :)

I wish I could draw as well as Willow - I am the first to admit that the only thing I can draw is my breath.

I love hedgehogs and many years ago when I'd be wandering home from parties in the early hours, I'd always have a plastic carrier bag in my pocket so I could scoop them up from the road and transfer them to somewhere safe.

Some time ago I accidentally disturbed a hedgehogs nest in the front garden. Realising that the mother and four youngsters would be at risk if the went out onto the road, I scooped the whole lot up in a big box and took them to the back garden which is fairly secluded and backs on to other larger gardens. After a few days we noticed one of the little ones looked really poorly with lice and maggots all over, so took it to our vet, fearing that it may have to be put down. Next day the vet called to report the 'she' was doing fine, they had named her Cheryl and would keep her for a little while then release her near their home in the countryside. No charge!! as they were treating a wild animal in distress. - Two of the other siblings made their way in life in the gardens, but one sadly was killed, I think by a fox, we found the half eaten little thing in the bushes at the back of the garden.
