We've all been suffering from the recent gales, how's everyone coping in the garden?

I've said recently that the beds in my front garden will be turned over to deciduous, herbaceous and annual plants, today confirms that! Evergreen plants just can't survive in the windy conditions out there. Below a picture of the young Cistus I planted out last spring (grown from a cutting) which has be torn from it's tender roots overnight, even though it was staked. This is the second one that's been torn out. So, I'm now giving thought as to what to plant. I have a few young young plants in pots at the moment that I will make a start with as soon as this wind lets up!

what a shame Sheal :ouch1: The only upside of having a totally over-looked garden is it protected somewhat so no casulties so far.

My garden has a 6ft hedge on the windward side but unless I plant one at the front the same height there's no other way around it.

Don't bother fixing anything yet, not after seeing the weather charts for next wednesday.

Both Greenhouses are okay, but I have lost some of the fascia from my garage.
