Its that time of year again when Miocrosoft pump out another half yearly Windows 10 update.

However its seems very small this time, taking just 5 mins on our very old laptop.

Did read about the new Edge being a part of the of the upgrade package and that may be a problem for some folk, this link shows how to stop that.

How to Block Windows 10 Update Force Installing the New Edge Browser

Ah, this bloomin' thing has just cream-crackered my PC. My SSD is only just big enough (I really should upgrade it) - switched on this evening and it is chock full.

Well if it improves Edge that's fine by me. It's got to be the most useless piece of **** that MS have ever inflicted on a long-suffering public....

Never thought to check on drive C: space, though thankfully plenty spare on ours.

If looking for a new SSD, recommend getting one with a 5 year warranty vs the more usual 3 years, seems their typical life is not much more than the warranty period, as our local big supplier confirmed, when ours failed at 3.5 years.

Don't use Edge as such, but most reviews seem quiet complementary about the new version ??

Still , plenty of other browsers to choose from .....

That is quite an accolade @noisette47 as they have produced quite a vast amount of **** over the years...

@ricky101 - good advice, thank you. I confess, I generally use Crucial or Kingston for stuff like that as their stuff has been quite reliable so far.
