Did anyone else manage a trip to the wisley flower show this year? First time I've been and thought it was brilliant - loads and loads of different retailers and specialist, expert advice and of course the gardens themselves. Excellent trip out with the family and also came away with a few new additions for the garden :)

It's a nice show, not been for a few years and to be honest I took a customer there on my last trip and lets say she enjoys wine so it turned out to be an interesting day ending with the customer going missing and me searching and finally finding her.

I went on Saturday and thought it was great, plenty of experts to chat to, although the guy on the Bonsai stand didnt look impressed when I told him is plants needed potting on (I was obvs joking).

Big place to search! Although she could have taken you for a few jars too...

No sense of humour some people. Funnily enough I was very taken with that chaps bonsaied Hawthorn; had never thought about that before

I went yesterday. It has got much bigger and better each year. We got our exercise walking from Car Park 5 (right next to the M25!) - lets hope the new welcome building and plaza they are starting to build will include some better car parks.

I went on Tuesday, for the first time & was impressed. I expected something less but they seemed to have the most exhibitors yet. Free entry for RHS members & I picked up a Caryopteris 'Dark Knight' as a late flowering shrub for the bees. The flowers remind me of Phacelia :)

I found her in the car park shouting my name out. At that point a drink would have gone down well!

Yes it will be a vast improvement Loofah. I was completely fooled by the fake 'old brick wall' in the gardens, hiding the construction zone fence. From a distance it looked pretty good.
