Very flamboyant and impressive peacock Woo. [IMG]

Whenever I see a woodpigeon up close I am always surprised by the height and stockiness of them.

PS Woo, what kind was the gull? do you know?

i used to hate trying to identify gulls. especially when they are young. i remember being told off because i once called them 'seagulls' to a birder, and he said there were no such things, only different kinds of gull.

now i believe there are freshwater gulls, is that right?

    keep up the pics woo.

    cheers

Hi Woo,In answer to your question I think the gull is a Immature Common Gull, and when it is fully grown should have a wingspan of 51-62in.Lovely photo of it

Woo, I have done the same with a couple of Puffin and seal pics from the Farne Isands. Had them enlarged to 10x8 and put in frames and are hanging around the house. It's a nice reminder. [IMG]

Beautiful, woo. I love swans but sadly saw two white and two black (all fully grown and crammed in a tiny cage) on the market for sale today ... I could have cried! :( I've never seen swans for sale before ... and don't want to again.
