Lovely picture of one of our most endearing birds [IMG]
The male visitor to my garden was showing himself off to a lady robin this morning, lovely to watch.
I could have done with your big lens today Woo, stood watching a pair of nuthatches flying to and from a fixed birdbox in the park. Couldn`t get close enough with my five times optical, time to upgrade me thinks. [IMG] [IMG]

No night pictures of the foxes yet Woo?

    Great pics Woo [IMG]

How high up is the heron, such a large bird perched on what seems a flimsy branch

The reflection of the swan in the water is great, I can only imagine how absolutley brilliant the picture would have been if it were a mirror reflection [IMG]

I was watching the birds feeding in my garden this morning when, all of a sudden, the local sparrowhawk swooped down and took a blackbird. Needless to say Mrs Pip wasn`t to happy at the sight, I thought it was a fab show of raw nature in action, all Mrs Pip saw it as was the death of Mrs Blackbirds husband :(

A stunning bird which is always on the lookout for an easy meal and with so many bird tables/feeders in both mine and the neighbouring gardens it will never go hungry.
