Hi all, I have just burnt some conifer hedge cuttings, some small branches off a willow tree and a load of ivy, is it OK to rotovate this ash into the garden? Could I put some in the compost? Is it any good for anything else?

    Thank you

    Harry

      Hi Harry & :sign0016:,

You could put it in the compost bins,& I believe if you put it around your fruit trees/bushes & plants it will help the fruit swell.
You could also rotovate it into your land, I've put quite a lot on my veggie patch, we have clay soil which is obviously very heavy, an old man told me to put my ash on there to make the soil lighter!
I hope you have a good day in the garden....sounds like you've had a busy morning :dbgrtmb:
