As part of our garden landscaping being inflicted upon us :gaagh:,we have the choice of paving or grass,:heehee: so I have decided I will have the front paved  ,getting towards my pension ( 9 months late):cry3: and they will make planters for us.

So my front grass is 40ft across and about 20ft deep at its narrowest but widens to about 30ft on the fence side.

So I was thinking an hexagonal one for the centre and I would like suggestions for any others :ideaIPB:, what they appear to be making are like lidless coffins :dunno:

I would not want anything wider than I can reach to the centre :dbgrtmb:

Pete, the problem with something like that is that you would soon find someone you'd rather plant than any growing thing. :heehee:

Pam, it is GC you know, so why do you expect sensible people? :heehee:

      On the serious side:-

Why not have six regular trapeziums opposite each side of the hexagon.

Have side D-C facing each side of the hexagon. Then A-B will be on the outside. If you have enough space you may even be able to put a seat or two between the hexagon and the trapezium. :dbgrtmb:

So perusing the threads as I do, my O.H. chimes up "When the front is paved you won`t have any gardening to do":dunno:

What planet does he come from I often wonder.:rolleyespink: Surely to get colour or interest in them throughout the whole year will take more thought and management, than a border ,where plants flower as others die back in a larger area so it`s easier to conceal the gaps
