On Tuesday we headed to Windermere and in keeping with the Jubilee theme, this was the closest we came to a RW&B plant display. Well nearly blue anyway :spinning: Gorgeous Rhoddie bushes. 15ft high or so. The Lake District is awash with Rhoddie and Azaleas. Some really stunning stuff to be seen there.

Took a trip down to Newby Bridge to view some of the local wildlife. Some more local than others though

It`s not all about flowers. Trees are stunning too.

Thanks for looking dear viewer. I hope you enjoyed the pics and thanks to all who gave advice on places to visit whilst we were away.

I agree with Penny, the last one is gorgeous - have many happy memories of the Lakes (but not the ones helping boyfriend-at-the-time doing his geography dissertation, counting ferns on one side of a mountain :gaah:)

We did thanks. The Sunday was a wash-out as was most of the Tuesday but that just meant we seen more of the scenery.
