I use a lot of gift bags nowadays, I remember when my children were small buying gifts throughout the months leading to Christmas, then spending hours sat on the floor wrapping them, then dividing the piles in two, half for Christmas the other half for their birthdays. Son New Years day, daughter 3rd January, having a Boxing day birthday I was always concious of missing out for birthdays.

Don't do presents - except to children. :old: :)

They get theirs as cheques and wrapped in an envelope with a stamp on it. :heehee: That way, they can buy what they want.

Box, wood shavings, tape, job done.

It all goes in the bin anyway. Think I composted some of my wrapping paper last year.

Yes, if you have a lot to wrap, definitely better to do a few every evening that way they all get 'nicely' wrapped!! :) so you'll just have to unwrap the last lot and do them again!!! :snork:

              :yikes: SNAP!!! (ish :heehee: )
My mother was Boxing Day, my daughter New Year's Day, eldest son 3rd January; nephew 4th January. Then, when I met Mr "M" = he and his father shared the same birthday ... 30th December!!!
For a good many years that was one heck of a busy week for me (and still could be if I wasn't better organised).

@maria - just wondering why you are doing *all* of it yourself? :noidea:
I would give gifts to my (teen upwards) children to wrap (how else will they learn to do it as well as me? :heehee: ).

              Delegation is a woman's strongest tool ;)

Wrapping already? I haven't even finished buying presents yet. Got all the kids stuff though, although I don't know exactly what I've bought now. I'll have to do a stock take and work out what I've bought and who gets what. I might do that on as early as the 23rd.

I agree it should be, but I never delegated, I never felt that anyone else wrapped them quite as nicely as what I did!! Hubby was good at wrapping but he was always too tired in the evenings.
