For those not familiar with Wyevale seed sales, around August BH they throw all their seeds into big boxes and everything is reduced to 50p/pkt. if you're lucky they'll leave them on the display racking making it easy to find what you want, but it seems that if there's not that many left after the preceeding 50% off sale, everything gets chucked in together, making it a bit of a scrummage to get over £30's worth of seeds reduced to £5 that I added to the £29.94's worth of JAB compost reduced to £10.74 and then used (from August Garden Club mailing) £5 in points off £15 spend voucher, Double Points voucher, £2.50 Points voucher, effectively getting the lot (RRP over £60) for only £6.74.

P.S. You need a Gardening Club card to buy the reduced seeds, but you can get one instore at time of purchase.

N.B. Take your own carrier bag or they'll rip you off 5p for one to take away your haul.

I bought some, including one box normally priced £6.99, for 50p. The key is not to get too carried away buying ones you may not really want, just because they are a bargain. They had made an attempt to sort them; a couple of baskets of veg seeds, a couple of baskets of wildflower seeds and so on.

You don't need to be a member or have a card @Tracy_x , anyone can buy them at 50p each.

Should you find you *do* get a bit carried away, all is not lost ... either donate them to the GC seed swap to kick start it off next year; or, join this years seed swap and use them to swap for something which you *do* want from the swap parcel

image.jpeg We stocked up as well mainly on flowering plants to attract bees and butterflies to the garden and none of it cost us anything as we had Gardening club card vouchers plus gardening gift vouchers which were retirement pressies.:snorky: Some of the gardening gloves are Xmas presents for family members:snork:

If you were a Wyevale Gardening Club member, and got the same vouchers in the August mailing as I did, you would've got another £5 off that £16 spend, plus got Double Points on it, worth yet another £1.60, a total of £6.60 off. I hope you got a temporary card before that transaction so you can now start making similar savings.

@Scrungee we asked if we could use our double points voucher as well as the £8 off of a £40 shops and the lady on the till said no we could use one or the other so we chose the £8 off.

I keep meaning to add all the original prices up of all the stuff we got to see how much we would have actually spent without all the offers but haven't had the time although I checked on the micro snips this morning which I got for 50p and the price of them should have been £3.99 and there was only the one pair so I snapped them up:snorky:

We didn't even get a chance to look at compost as it was hammering it down with rain and the lighting knocked all the tills out so we had to wait for ages for the tills to reboot themselves:snorky:

There's no restriction on Double Points vouchers being used with any other vouchers, and they always work together.

They lied to you, so complain and request the extra points be added to your account.
