    Afternoon all :)

Still working on a database (surely the end must be in sight soon???), and waiting for dinner to be ready; I can smell the chook cooking which is making me even more hungry.

@Autumn bliss - having just done most of our house, I don't envy you one bit.

            Morning all,:)

Blowing a hooley outside windy-clipart.jpg , will not be going out today.

A bit tired out from yesterday, did a boot sale, takes me nearly an hour to set up, it was flipping freezing, and my feet did not defrost all morning.:hate-shocked:

Got a morning of clearing all the niggly little things that need to tidied up. put the washing machine on, going to have a cup of coffee, and finish watching Lovejoy.

Have a good day everyone, come rain or shine.:spinning:

                Aloha everyone,

I'm pleased to hear that Penny and Tiffy are getting on well. :)

"M", you're always welcome to gatecrash - or just pop in if you're in the area. :blue thumb:

The tournament ran very smoothly yesterday and the icing on the cake was that my team came second. It paid for Mrs Shiney and myself to go to the Indian late last night.:dbgrtmb:

It's a wet day today but I've got to go out in it. I have a mid-morning meeting to go to. I've been roped into a committee that has been set up to help organise a big annual business awards competition jointly with a carnival run by very go ahead community pastor. The carnival has been running for three years and getting bigger and they want to involve the business community. First meeting this morning.

                Have a great day

                Aloha!

                  Good morning WW's

So pleased to hear the fur babies are on the mend: keep going from strength to strength Tiffy and Penny :doggieshmooze: :doggieshmooze:

Liliana - despite the cold, hope you made a few bob.

Moyra - hope all goes well with your flu jab today; may be they can offer some advice with your sinus'?

Well, yesterday I did get around to unpacking one box and half of that ended up in the recycling bin :heehee: Things I thought I would need/want here no longer of any use: dish drainer (this house has two sinks, no drainer ); a poaching pan (I do it the old fashioned way) and some other bits and bobs.

Had a lovely spontaneous call from son in Lincoln: electric not working can Dad advise? Erm, no, Dad is sleeping, may I help? :noidea:
                  "It's electrics!"
                  - erm, yup: go took at your circuit board ... flick the trip switch -
                  "What's the worst that can happen?:th scifD36: "
                  - you die, Son :rolleyespink: Now: flick that switch!
                  "It worked!!!"
                  - of course, dear ;)

Now, as the conversation continued (on a calmer note now he realised he was still alive and also now had electric :heehee: ) I saw something in the garden. When I say *in* the garden, it was on top of a shed at the end of my immediate neighbours garden: a pheasant!! :dancy:
He was very camera shy and flew off when I tried, but I did manage to get this:

                  CIMG0012.JPG

Wonder if I could entice him back at some point? :noidea:

@shiney - I didn't think you would have minded me gate crashing, thank you :)

                  Miles of smiles

The meeting I had was very good :blue thumb:. The awards will include lots of community awards as well. All we've got to do is get it organised and get sponsors as these things cost thousands.

I'd like to try and get a celebrity along, free of charge, but that's a tall order. We've got a year to get it organised. :phew:

@"M" the pheasant is likely to make a regular visit to your garden if there's food available :). Our pheasants stand on the cross bar of our big feeder and eat the seeds. Although they're quite happy to clear up what the other birds drop on the lawn. Of course, Ozzy might have something to say about it. :heehee:

 Yup, think you're right - Ozzy may act as a deterrent :cry3:
Ok ... will just have to up the training on the "LEAVE!" command (after major work on the "Down Stay") :heehee:

Glad you had a good meeting  As for a celeb ... ... do you mean a TV/Theatre "celeb"? In which case, do you have a theatre near to you? Or, perhaps a resident-ish celeb that would come out for the community (and self serving promotion)? Or, perhaps a "local celebrity" could be more lateral thinking ... a Councillor? :noidea: Local MP? :dunno: High flying local businessman? Do you have a University that has a business school and perhaps one of their senior lecturers/University Director? :noidea: But, I'm sure you've already thought of all of those

                            Morning everyone,

Flu jab went ok feeling a bit bruised and sore this morning but not too bad. My sinuses were terrible again. I just have to get up when they start sinking onto my chest and I find it hard to breathe. I have yet to take Amber out am just plucking up courage, doesn't look very inviting out there to be honest.
Oh well have a good day all, stay safe and warm and God bless you all. :wub2:
