      Evening all :)

Been a bit of a dreary one here today, and quite chilly. I am still not quite warm as our boiler still isn't well - gas man hopefully coming back tomorrow.

Hope you are all happy and healthy :)

      Woo...you too:thumbsup:

FC...Hope your heating gets fixed today:fingers crossed:,this damp weather makes it feel colder doesn't it:rolleyespink:

Blimey it has certainly rained overnight:doh: the water butts are overflowing causing lots of standing water,I need to get rid of some of it before the place turns into a quagmire.
Nice blue sky and sunshine now :blue thumb:

Waves to all, have a great day and take care:SUNsmile:

      Morning everyone,

I think we have had enough rain now for a while could do with some more late sunshine.
I hope everyone is well and all in fine fettle. I am going to check out with the pharmacist whether sinutabs would be in order for me to take this morning as I am thoroughly fed up with this sinus condition.
Have a good day all, stay safe and well. God bless. :wub2:

        Aloha everyone,

FC, I hope you have your boiler fixed soon. It seems to be a very long time! Maybe you need to find someone else. Our boiler man guarantees to arrive within 24 hours and has always managed to get here the same day (not necessarily fixing it immediately if he doesn't have the part, but doing it the following day).

The sun is out this morning  after a few days of horrible weather.

My meetings went well yesterday but took up a long time. I had to get straight from the airport to the bridge club without any dinner! That's a disaster for me :heehee: - but I cooked it when I got home at 11.15 p.m. :blue thumb:

Under my foot has been fairly good for the last few days :) but under my big toe hasn't . The side of the toe and the crease where it meets my foot is completely raw at the moment so I have resorted to the steroid cream to relieve it. I'll carry on with the anti-fungal when it has eased up.

The chiropractor is coming to give us our regular service this morning. Then I'll go shopping as we have guests at the weekend.

Bridge has gone very well lately (better than normal) with me doing well in regional and national events. Tuesday my team won a county (Essex) league match and last night we got through to the semi-final of the biggest county teams event. Tonight we're playing another county league match (Herts) but we have very tough opposition!

Keep well and have a great day

        Aloha!

        Good morning everyone,

Hope everyone is OK this morning:thumbsup:

Shiney...Well done with the matches, sounds like you've got a great team there, keep it up:dbgrtmb:...I'm pleased to see your foot is gradually improving too and it's not as bad as it was..

Moyra...How did you get on at the pharmacy ,hope they've managed to sort something out for you:fingers crossed:

Not as quiet here this morning as it is usually,my Gt Nieces had been to the Fair and came to stay over night so it's porridge all round this morning then off to school, then I'll be popping to take Mum to the Doctors :dbgrtmb:

It was a fabulous starry sky this morning but soon clouded over...

Take it easy everyone ,have a great day and take care:SUNsmile:

        Aloha everyone,

I'm waiting for the sunrise but it's a bit murky out there. We have quite bit of a breeze but the forecast is not too bad.

Woo, I'm hoping to get a bit of Bouncing in if my foot is up to it. :) Mrs Shiney will tell me when she changes my dressings. :blue thumb:

Note to Self:- I really must get going on the pile of paperwork on my desk.

I got waylaid yesterday by grabbing the opportunity to book a cheap holiday for early next year. It's an 8 day tour of Turkey (one of the few countries we haven't been to) for £179 p.p. - including 4 star (Turkish ratings!) hotels, B & B, flights (from our local airport), transfers and tours included.

We won our match last night by a small margin. :dbgrtmb:

Keep well and have a great day

        Aloha!

I have just got a phone call from Barry. His TV has packed up and he wants a new one. It's his main link to the outside world so I need to do it quickly.

I'll check the best buys on the Which? website and then find what local shops sell it. Then take him there. :blue thumb:

Zigs, I hope you get a bit more sunshine. Today is the first for some days when we have got much over 1kWh.

I did my research for Barry and then drove into town to his flat. I did some phoning around for prices, before going, and had to look up 'Say no to 0870' to find non-high rate call charges.

When I got to Barry I decided to do some checking up on his TV. I know very little about these sort of things but unplugged everything, changed a scart lead (he had a spare) and then re-plugged it all. It worked, after a fashion, so I had a look at what else was there. The lights on his Virgin box said everything was OK but I rebooted it anyway. Then his TV worked!

I'm not sure how much to charge for call out and repair!! :lunapic 130165696578242 5:

            Enjoy your break AB :)

Getting 0.8 amps thru the clouds, just flattened the car battery though
