More importantly, check for snakes! :hate-shocked: That's a major problem for the pickers.

          Good morning everyone,

Hope you are all in fine fettle, just a trifle blowy out there to say the least! I have to wrap up warm now and take Amber out for her walk. Not looking forward to it but it has to be done.
Have a good day all, stay safe, dry and warm. God bless.:wub2:

I was pleasantly surprised to see it wasn't too bad out there this morning,it's breezy but isn't any worse than the recent winds we've had up here lately :blue thumb: I think the west has born the brunt of it again:rolleyespink:

Mabel:chicken: gave out the loudest, croakiest "cock-a-doodle-do" this morning:rolleyespink: she is a funny Hen:)

            Aloha everyone,

I'm not sure about that but when we went to a banana plantation we saw the men lowering the giant bunches of bananas with poles with hooked ends. When the bananas are growing they cover them in a plastic bag (they call them banana condoms) and spray organic insecticide into the bags. Snakes like to set up home inside the bags so the bags and bunches of bananas are removed very carefully. :hate-shocked:

Moyra, I hope you got your walk in before the really bad weather hit. I had to take Mrs Shiney to the station and when I got back the heavens opened!

AB, can we order our pancakes now? :blue thumb:

            Have a great day

            Aloha!

            Morning all.:spinning:

Shiney: When we in Cyprus, these blue bags were a common sight- the banana spiders were horrendous:yikes: Obviously the insecticide does not always work, judging by the amount of spiders we get hiding in the bunches:hate-shocked:

Very still this morning, eerie, considering what it was like yesterday :thud:

Just eating my caramel porridge, then I am going to sit and make earrings.:)

Hope everyone has a good day.:imphrt:

            Aloha everyone,

It's also very still here and quite cold, but the sun is coming up and it will warm up during the day.

Today is trying to fill in a passport renewal form day! :hate-shocked:  :phew:

Keep well and have a great day

            Aloha!

            Good morning everyone,

I got drenched yesterday morning. The heavens opened as I got out to the green with Amber still she loves the towelling dry on our return, me I had to change my clothes as I was soaked through. Got damp again lunchtime but not so bad. Waited until the deluge finished at 4pm when I took Amber out for her third walk of the day. Managed to stay dry that time.

I hope everyone else is ok. Got to take my medication as well as some antihistamines.
Steve has got man flu given to him by me after my flu jab or so he says. It appears that each year I have a flu jab it coincides with him getting a bout of flu or a heavy cold. No telling him it is coincidence he believes it is my fault.
Have a good day all, stay safe, dry and warm. God bless.:wub2:
