      Aloha everyone,

@CanadianLori you are being a very good grandmother and I hope she appreciates it. :)

@Flumpy that's good news on the house :hapydancsmil:

@Upsydaisy You need to threaten hubby with a rolling pin!

I bet you're wondering where I managed to get that photo of you!

It is already hot out there and I've decided not to do any work in the garden today because of the bites  - 31 at last count! :hate-shocked:

Lots of work to do indoors. :blue thumb:

      Keep well

      Aloha!

            Good day
@Upsydaisy @Flumpy is right, there are always new opportunities coming along and I'm sure you'll find something that hubby gets less hesitant about.

It is going to be a pleasant day for the next few days with temperatures in the high 70's to low 80's. And sunny :) then we are getting a bonus of a couple of days of free water! Doesn't get better than that as I planned on putting a lot of soil down the hillbilly side of the yard and sowing new grass that will be watered by mother nature. Lucky me

Granddaughter is still asleep. She was pretty tired out as we went out to the shop yesterday. It is good exercise packing and then pulling the walker from the back seat of my Mustang. My son has my van as his thermostat went in his vehicle and he won't be able to repair it until this weekend. Good thing I have more than one set of wheels!

Bought some nice chicken breasts yesterday and will barbecue them today to make a lovely big chicken caesar for supper and I'll bake some more baguettes to make garlic bread to accompany it. And I've got more privacy screening to work on. All in all a great day today.

Have a lovely day all :spinning:

Morning all, woke up to another beautifully sunny day with much more manageable temps ..thank goodness!

My sister and I have a whole day ( off soon) trying first to sort out our parent's garage, that is full to overflowing with stuff, to make room for more !! We then want to empty the contents from cupboards / drawers etc and move that into the garage as well. Later this afternoon we have some house and garage clearance people coming over to give us a quote. Whatever they can sell we want the money to go to Cancer Research.
So as I said thankfully it's a tad cooler, we were planning on doing it yesterday but thought better of it.

                  Aloha everyone,

I went carefully, and slowly, around some of the garden and took photos. They never come out the way you want them to  but I've posted them on the August thread.

Picked 30 plums and have just eaten them :hate-shocked:

Beans will need picking but will have to wait while I give my foot a rest - and have a cuppa. A couple of friends are popping in for coffee on their way home from the therapist and I'll pick beans afterwards.

STOP Press:- Mrs Shiney has just notified me of a change of plan. :rolleyespink: Apparently I've now been delegated to make lunch for them :noidea:. So now have to pop to the baker in the village. I can't walk that far (1 mile each way) so shall have to wake the car up. :heehee:

                  Keep well

                  Aloha!

                      Good day
@Upsydaisy what a fantastic way to clear out and help others! @shiney all those plums- my goodness, you must be a really regular fella :heehee: Hello @moyra it's always nice to see you one parade. :)

The skies are a beautiful clear blue and we are going to have a hot but not scorching day. I am going to quick lay a bunch of soil along the fence line and a couple of bare spots on the lawn and then mix in grass seed as mother nature is going to supply rain for the next three days to help with the project.

I experimented with making baguette dough yesterday (adding garlic and parsley) and then shaping them to look like flowering wheat sheaf and was well pleased but garlic bread doesn't make great sandwiches so I will be making some sandwich buns today.

And then it will be just puttering about. A lovely way to spend a day :blue thumb:

I hope everyone is having a great day too!:)
