Well done! I knew you could do it.

@Victoria I had the I.D. in my van. I just had to run back out of the building and across a large parking lot to retrieve it. Then get back in the line.

I'll count that as today's walkies! :heehee:

        Good morning everyone.

Still waiting for our turn of a good downpour but at least we've had a couple of dress rehearsals.:)

Inbetween doing some gardening I've begun looking at what to add to the borders for next year. I bet if I go full out on drought tolerant plants we'll have a monsoon season!!:heehee:

We're off into town today to pick up a few bits ,it shouldn't be too bad now the temps are back to normal......although shopping still remains a horrid task!

We are in for a mostly cloudy day I think ( although it's sunny at the moment) with glimpses every so often of the sun, so a pleasant afternoon in the garden is on the cards.

Hope you all have a lovely day.

It is hazy sun today but nice and fresh at 18c with a breeze.

I had confirmation of my MRI at 3pm, have a four hour fast. Have to check in 30 minutes earlier and we will allow an hour's journey as this week and next are the main Portuguese holidays so traffic is worse. My 2 o'clock Sensory Test has been cancelled as They "are not currently conducting the exam" so I don't know what Dr Joana Filipa is doing. N'er mimd, the MRI is the important thing..

J had a call from our insurance agent yesterday saying the old man is claiming he has injuries and they want photos of the accident. Fortunately J took photos so the agent will deal with it.

Have a good day whatever you do.

            Good day
Well perhaps not a good day for J :( I hope whatever injury the fellow claims, is a minor one. I've never had an MRI @Victoria but I understand it can be a bit stressful. I hope yours goes smoothly.

I've got a busy morning. As probably everyone else does with the price of petrol these days, I will be combining errands and doing a full circle to meet a friend for breakfast, go to a clients and do some check measures, pick up new sprinkler heads, get some groceries and grab some of the beer number two likes at the liquor store. Hopefully I'll be home and collecting seeds by lunchtime :)

@Upsydaisy our temps have also cooled down to "normal" which is pleasant. And the guessers say it will rain a little bit every day. Well, there is a 30 - 40% chance it will. For heavens sake why don't they just admit it's probably 50-50 because that seems to be the odds on them guessing right!

For now it is sunny and I shall enjoy it.

            Cheers :coffee:

              Good morning everyone.

Not a lot to report really ,we went into town yesterday...and during the trip I lost my sunglasses...grrr I so need them at the moment as our pollen count is high and my eyes look awful.
Popped over to my sister's and saw my other cheeky great nephew who loves to do tricks for you...hilarious!!:roflol:

I felt so exhausted yesterday that I crawled up to bed before 9pm.....which is very unheard of for me, slept right through and in fact ( again unheard off) hubs woke me at 7 this morning....just so extremely tired.:noidea:

Quiet day is planned, just pottering about.

              Have a lovely day everybody.

                Good Morning Litty.jpeg
A bright start but we are under a high heat warning through Sunday. It is quite still so I hope a breeze comes up.

Yesterday went fine. They were very busy with the two MRI machines. Mine was over 30 minutes late. There was a woman before me and one after and two patients in beds were brought in. The X-ray room across the Reception was kicking them in and out like yo-yos. Reception has 20 seats. They gave me my CD and asked if I wanted the written results e-mailed to me when they sent it to the Doctor. Of course, the answer was yes. J wasn't asked this at the sister hospital.

My friend here had X-rays of her hips and knee several weeks ago. She was going to go Private but when she told her SNS/NHS doctore she arranged it on the SNS. Got an e-mail last night from her ... "I haven't heard yet took my results to the Centro da Saúde for the doctor I was told she will see them on the 13th Sept and I have an appointment for October yo see her. Crazy. Probably be seeing you before l see the doctor." That's why we go Private!

Lori, I am fine with such things but J is claustophobic hence him having to be anaethetised. This was my third, plus I've had a couple of CAT scans, uncountable X-rays and 42 sessions on the Radiotherapy machine all in the last nine years! This id an MRI machine. You lie on the table, it raises up and you slide into the tube. You cannot move and it makes horrendous noises, thuds, bangs, squeals, silence, thuds, vibrations, squeals ...... My session was 20 minutes, J's was 2x20 as he had a lumbar and cervical.

                Have a great Friday everyone.

I've had a fair few too , I am also a bit on the claustrophobic side but can if needs must just about grin an bear it ,our downstairs loo has no windows....never close the door!!, lifts..especially crowded ones and :yikes:... going on the underground in London...I do these as often it's the only option..but hate it...I need to see daylight and feel the air.

When I've had mine I just had to try and not think about where I actually was....I was given a playlist of music to choose from but even with it playing quite loudly through the headphones the machinery noise was still noisy. You are given a buzzer to hold so that you can communicate with the team, and as they know I'm ....a bit anxious they have been ,so far, very good and kept regularly checking in and talking to me throughout th process.

Yes, had the buzzer too just in case. The Technician asked me first if I had had one before and I said yes, right here, so she said I knew what would be involved. I had one too at a center in Albufeira and that one you had to climb a 3 step ladder to get on it!!! I had assistance as I couldn't even stand!

                      Here's a funny story.
I had one of these on my back a couple of years ago and they asked me if I wanted to listen to the radio and which station.
Not being well up on radio,I never listen to it since leaving work I said radio 2.
It was lunchtime and I got lumbered with the Jeremy Vine show, but he was off that week and it was Vanessa Phelps doing the show .

The big discussion that day, sagging boobs.
35 minutes of it, they must have thought I was some kind of weirdo.

                        Good day
Oh my lord, I think I'd be having conniptions if I got slid into a tube. I got caught in a culvert when I was young and then around 11 years old again in a rock formation. Fight or flight kicked in both times and I have been claustrophobic ever since.

It is another sunny day 62f and expected to go up to the mid 80's.

One granddaughter is snuggled in the guest bedroom. Her dad dropped her off on his way to work this morning but which was far too early (5 a.m.) for any kid to be up for the day.

I'm going to get ready for a Hilda Ogden morning with Doc Martin for company. :)

                        Cheers :coffee:

@Victoria I hope the results will be good for you both.

Me too, I can't go in lifts and I can't have the car doors locked when I'm inside,
and also, even though it's out in the open, I can't drive on a motorway because you can't get off until the next exit which may be miles away, and it makes me feel trapped and I start panicking :yikes:
