@Badly_Maintained , sorry I should have said before it's good to see you back.
I have to confess the table extenders are not my original idea, we saw it on the morning live TV programme 2-3 years ago. I made one for us at the time and both step daughters said then if ever I wanted an idea for them for Christmas they would like one.
As I said one GD had expressed an interest in doing practical stuff so I thought it was an ideal little project. I got the DIY shop to cut the long lengths from a large sheet of ply. I don't have a workshop or even shed space so I had to do the rest of the timber cutting outside on a dry day. We finished the assembly in the kitchen!

Thanks @Obelix-Vendée . Just a bit muzzy today, thankfully.

The wind is very gusty, but as predicted, those closer to the coast are having a tougher time - hope all is well with you, @Badly_Maintained .

The weather seems to be clearing a bit here. I think the worst is now further north.
It was raining earlier, so OH gave me a lift up to the village. I wore my usual black waterproof walking shoes with black trousers, so looked tidy enough and it didn’t matter if I got wet on the way home. I thought about wellies, but the roads here are very steep, no pavements and currently covered in leaves, so I needed the extra grip of the walking shoes to be safe. My new brooch got its first outing, and was much admired! I also fished out my festive Christmas wreath earrings, sadly the batteries are now flat, so they didn’t twinkle like they used to! A bit like me!

We're at the hotel. Hardly any wind/rain until Conwy, then, boy, did it hit us.

Oh dear @katecat, how funny is that!!

Sorry, that post is out of sync as I didn't actually post it yesterday.
Obviously the facial yesterday scrambled my brains.
