    Good morning everyone,

Only just found the new Wakey, wakey thread

No rain here, we're still having a drought :(

Thanks, everyone, for your good wishes :dbgrtmb:. I'm doing my best to fight off this infection - with Mrs shiney's help. Had a couple of bad sessions during the night but feeling a bit better now and my wobbly legs have stopped wobbling :D. I've got to get myself ready for this afternoon and have just worked out my route to Bedfordshire.

No Sunday lunch for me. I have to leave here just after 12 and the home team will provide sandwiches and cake about 4 p.m. The match will finish about 7.30 and I guess that by the time I get home I won't want much. Might get a bit of takeaway if I'm feeling like it :dbgrtmb:

    Have a great day :D

Morning BG and Moyra, looks like we are all having rain at the moment, but the ground does need it :D

Morya sorry forgot to say hope all goes well with the spaying of Amber next month. We had our Tina done when the vet told us to after her first season and it was the best thing we ever did especially as when she was going through that first season she got into our bedroom and jumped on the bed and went round and round like they do before they settle and by the time we found her the quilt was ruined as the blood had gone through everything an onto the feathers so chucked it out in the end and got as new one.:D

When you talk about cages do you mean the metal crates that people talk about? We never had one for our dog as they were not around in those days and by the time they hit the shops she was too old and set in her ways to use one.All the people i know who have them say they are good things but as we lived in a small bungalow at the time would have had no room for one anyway.Glad to hear that Steve loves her as well:doggysmooze:

Enjoy your day both of you:)

    Good Luck Shiney. Enjoy.

Yes Kandy, vets are recommending that you buy a cage before bringing your new puppy home for the first time and make them a bed in it so that you can train it to give you some me time each day. My flat is not really big enough for a cage but I do wish I had acclimatised her to one but I think it would be too late now. Useful for when you go out you know that they cannot get up to any mischief. Although I have left Amber twice, once for an hour and once for nearly three hours because Steve got held up and couldn't get home and my hospital appointment went on longer than I thought. Both times she was as good as gold and no damage done whatsoever. I never had Chloe spayed and she did suffer from phantom pregnancies and also I had lots of washing of protective covers for her armchair and She had her own basket in the bedroom but I haven't really got room for one for Amber she shares my bed, regretably because she likes to sleep right across the top of my pillow!

I met a fellow dog walker this morning who paid extra to have his dog spayed by keyhole surgery and she was only out of commision on the day of the op. I must ask my vet about it as it would be worth an additional £100 which he said it cost him to have Amber done by keyhole surgery.

well after a wet start this morning the day has turned out nice and sunny.

    Have a good day everyone.

      Good morning Louise and everyone,

Sunny with blue skies but there is a bit of a breeze building up and it does feel rather chilly.Sounds like that cold weather is going to be hitting us soon but we have the salt in already:)
