It's still only drizzling here - but at least it's doing something :dbgrtmb:

It had stopped about 5.30 a.m. and restarted about 6.30

I got satuarated walking Amber first thing and it hasn't let up all day here. Shiney so now you know where your share of the rain is landing!

My Hallway is finished and I think Steve is too. I have been trying to tidy everything away but he is too tired to put all his tools and things away. Even his fishing rods are still laying across the settee.

Loli I am sure the chooks will not particularly want to participate in the hair cut but what do you tell them, it has to be done. Still getting round them with pasta is one way.

Have a good day everyone, reckon I am going to get another soaking taken Amber out again this afternoon! :eeew:

Moyra, please send the rain this way. The drizzle stopped a couple of hours ago and there is weak sunshine and strong winds now.

Yes, Got soaking wet again and it has a nasty wind with it too. She is not going to get another walk today I'm afraid. At least my cloches are holding up to the wind and rain protecting my little seedlings. Oh Shiney you can have all this rain if I can have the sun back again.

Arh, the sun is out and I get to walk Amber and stay dry! Yippee. Not sure about this afternoon's walk as they say the rain will be back with a vengeance.

So hurry and get those garden jobs done early today. Have a good day all but don't work too hard. Waves to Mr and Mrs Shiney, Mr and Mrs Kandy, our Loli and OH and boys and chooks of course, Penny and where is our WOO? Hope he is ok, maybe he got lucky and got his hospital date. Lets hope so and his op is all over and done with hopefully. Catch up with some of you later on.:)

      Good morning everyone,

We went off to Chelmsford last night to see "The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel" and really enjoyed it. It drizzled a little bit on the way there and on the way back but held off long enough for us to walk from the car to the cinema and back . This morning we have bright sunshine and I shall go out there later to pick a load of rhubarb to sell at the bridge club this afternoon.

Moyra, enjoy your walk with Amber.

Kandy, I hope you two are OK and that you have some sunshine to cheer you up.

loli, I hope the girls didn't get too upset with their clipping.

      Have a great day

      Good afternoon everyone,

I did a little bit in the garden early this morning and it was still frosty. The sun has been out ever since.

Been to the chiropodist and now have some paperwork to deal with.

      Have a great day

I find it hard to understand how you can have all the sunshine and we have the showers. It's about to pour down again. I have had to put the cloches back over my seeds to stop them getting washed out of the ground. Wish I could send it your way shiney where you want it so much!

I have been busy all morning doing my paperwork so I am pleased to say I took it up to catch the post and now I can relax.

I hope Kandy, Loli, Penny and WOO are all ok. Take care everybody. Bye for now. :)

Still sunny! Going out to do some more work in the garden.

Moyra, it can be quite annoying to see it raining only a few fields away when we don't get any of it! :wallbanging:

      Good morning everyone,

Sorry haven't been around much but I seem to be running out of time just lately. It seems that since we altered the clocks the days are speeding along whereas I seem to be going at a slower pace.I will be glad when i catch up with myself and can get up a lot earlier than normal but at the moment i am not managing it:dunno:

We managed to get to the lottie on Good Friday to check on things after the rain we had the previous days but when we got ready Saturday afternoon after we had been grocery and clothes shopping in the morning it started raining again and we ended up having rain on and off all over Easter and even got soggy when we got a four mile walk in last Sunday:eeew:

Shiney,I bet you are looking forward to getting back up into the lakes soon and hope that the weather stays good for you all so you can get some much needed exercise:snork:

Moyra, glad that the decorating is all but finished for the time being and I bet it looks nice and fresh once again.:dbgrtmb: Yes it is a pain when they keep forecasting frost and stong winds as seedlings don't like it at all:frown:

Loli,I never realised that people clip the wings of their chooks to stop them flying off.I thought they were just well trained and well fed to keep them all in order and in one place.I expect that is why they keep criminals well fed in prisons:snork:

I hope that Woo and Penny are both ok and had a good Easter:smile:

I'm off to the hospital tonight for 7pm for my yearly screening so will have big baby eyes for the rest of the night.Glad that It wasn't last night or else I would have missed the Apprentice:snork:

Anyway,I managed to find a video clip the other day which just about sums me up.Hope you all enjoy it as much as I do.....

        Good morning Kandy and everyone,

We're still not getting the rain. The nasty clouds come over, and the occasional clap of thunder, and then they drop the rain on the other villages. This is typical of the clouds that just sail past us
        P1120163.JPG

My chiropractor spoke to me, on the phone, the other day and has 'forbidden' me to carry watering cans :rolleyespink:. He's done a letter for the water authority explaining why, and even I find it difficult to understand all the gobbledegook! When I read it it almost made me scared to walk about :heehee:. He told me he doesn't want me doing things that will undo all the work he has done for the last .... years. The authority have sent me a form to complete and send with the letter. :old:

I'll potter around the garden this morning and then, this afternoon, I have the last bridge match of the season (in one of the leagues I play in) to go to - in Chelmsford.

        Have a great day

          Good morning everyone...
I'll be thinking of you everytime i see that advert now Kandy:heehee:
Your Chiropractor is right Shiney...after all that treatment you don't want to be lugging watering cans around...one false move and you're jiggered, better to be safe than sorry...:dbgrtmb:
I had to rescue two blackbirds first thing this morning...they had somehow got trapped between the chicken run and the fence...there's only a 3" gap and they were panicking like mad and so was i.Lucky the 'girls' alerted me...they were screaming their 'combs' off..alls well now:phew:
I've got the washing in,oven on for some baking and then need to check the 'green kids' (seedlings) in the greenhouse...Oh and i really must clean the screen on this computer...Theo has a habit of chasing the cursor around with his wet nose:rolleyespink:he plays with everything..i'm sure he must have been a cat in is former life...Where as Archi is far too sensible for all that nonsense:)
I hope Moyra,Woo and Penny are on top form:dbgrtmb:
          Have a lovely day everyone:SUNsmile:

Sorry bit late this morning as Kandy says we are forever chasing our tails. I have just been out to see to my babies in the garden. Everything is doing well.

All this rain we have been having here and me having to cover the seedlings with cloches to stop them getting washed away and you shiney only a few miles away crying out for it. Doesn't make sense. Now all those black clouds can you start blowing them over your place and anywhere north of you. Thank you. We have some sun this morning and very nice to see but I am sure it is not going to last.

Glad you were able to help the blackbirds Loli. It always worries me when birds get caught up in net or string. I wont put the fat balls up in string nets because of the danger to the birds claws and legs. I have proper cages to put them in.

Now I must go and see if I can put a picture of my tobacco plants up on the tobacco thread. They are doing quite well. Only about 22 of them but enough to try out.

          Have a good day all.:)
