    Good morning everyone,

Its another hot one here, so i am heading out soon to water, then i am off to downtown Toronto.

While i am out watering, i am taking Natalies new puppy, Diesel out with me, Dan got him for her, and his landlord wont let Diesel stay at his house until September, so Diesel came here....man it feels strange having a puppy in the house again.

He's part golden retriever, black lab and australian shepherd....what a cutie!!

Bailey and Ginger arent too impressed though, neither was i when he had me up at 3:45 this morning(lol), but Nat did get up with him.

Well i am off to water, take the puppy out, and drop Kait off at work, then heading to Toronto....so have a great day all.

    Aloha Everyone,

Late on parade today. I didn't see the doctor yesterday only the nurse. She said without the result of blood and urine tests he wouldn't be able to diagnose my problem. She said my blood pressure was ok when she took it yet when I did it myself at home on a new machine it was low. Now my pressure usually goes up when she takes it and usually reads high so since it was ok I assume that it did it usual thing and went up to an ok level. I went to the hospital with my urine sample and had my blood tests so now it a case of wait for results and then see the doctor when hopefully all will be revealed by the results. However, having 4 vials of blood taken when I was already feeling weak and tired didn't help. Daren't drive to the hospital because of the giddiness so took a taxi there and back. Better safe than sorry!

Came home and crashed out on the bed feeling really limp.

Kandy glad your results were ok. I was going to stop taking my statins because of the cramp I get but I thought better of it.

Shiney, I hope your back is much better today dear. Take care everyone and enjoy the rest of your day.

    Aloha:wub2:

    Good soggy morning everyone:snork:

Moyra,if you give your surgery a ring on say Tuesday they will be able to give you the results of your tests then will tell you if you need to see the Dr or not.I do hope that everything comes back ok.They usually take two lots of blood from me,never had four taken so i am not surprised that you were not feeling too good and hope that you are feeling much better now:yes:

I had my BP taken in March{after waiting 40 minutes to see the Dr} and it was up so had to go back two weeks later and sit in a room on my own for thirty minutes before the nurse took it again. It was only slightly up that time and i gave her the readings i had done on my home machine so she said she would log it.I sometimes think they just look for any excuse to put people on more meds as our generation are the ones having to keep the 99 year olds alive a wee bit longer so the goverment can come up with the excuse that we are all living longer:snork:

Shiney those articles mae interesting reading although the last one i am expected to give my email address which i don't want to do as it encourages spam mail:biggrin:I have suffered muscle, joint and memory loss for years and that is without any of these Statin drugs...Hope your back is a lot better today and that Mrs Shiney's car passed it's MOT ok..

I went to the lottie yesterday and spent two hours picking raspberries but when i came to drive home my car wouldn't start so had to ring Mr Kandy who eventullay came to my rescue along with my old neighbour who was just about to walk his dogs so they gave me a bump start which helped me get home but it has packed up again so Mr Kandy thinks it is a Solanoid problem so need to get it booked into the car hospital to get it put right:eeew: but it will have to be bump started again to gte me to the garage which will be fun:snork:

I do hope that Loli is having a good holiday and that our Woo is ok and not getting too much rain...

Penny, the new puppy sounds adorable.I don't think you will be giving him back any time soon:biggrin:

Have a good day everyone despite the rain again:snork:

    Aloha everyone,

After a rainy night it's sunny this morning :dbgrtmb:

Mrs Shiney's car passed it's MOT and although it was booked in for it's annual service he said it didn't really need one. He'd changed the oil a couple of months ago when she had a leak and he said that as she does such a low mileage all he did was check everything was OK. He said that everything checked out OK and didn't charge for it (didn't even charge for the two light bulbs that he replaced for the MOT).

I'll be taking mine in for its MOT and annual service as soon as he's open.

Moyra, I hope you're feeling better this morning.

There's always problems with blood pressure results at the doctors. It's usually higher than normal because of the fact of where you are - it's called 'white coat syndrome' and the doctors usually take some of it into account.

Kandy, I hope it's not too expensive a job fixing your car.

My back feels a lot better today so I'll just potter around the garden a bit.

Penny, puppies are a bit of a nuisance at times but they're lovely :)

    Have a great day

    Aloha

    Aloha everyone,

Feeling much brighter this morning although still very swimmy. Have checked blood out at 5.7 and and BP 118/76 so all ok. Top of my spine at the neck is still very much inflamed and swollen. Something tells me that years ago when I fell from top to bottom of a very steep set of stairs onto the top of my neck that I should have gone then and had it x-rayed for damage. Still too late now that is that is 20 years ago.

Kandy thanks yes I will phone the docs next week to see if they have the results. I think knowing Trina at the docs surgery she is more likely to phone me and say the results are in the doc wants to see you!

Glad your back is a little better today Shiney.

Lets hope this sunshine lasts as I have stripped Steve's sheets off his bed. With this iffy weather I am finding that instead of stripping both beds I am doing them on different days so as not to over stretch the problem of getting two lots of sheets dry on the same day too much when it is condensed into a few hours of a morning or afternoon drying time.

Well have a good day all. Waves to WOO and Penny and hopes Loli is having a good time on her break. Bet her boys are!

    Aloha:wub2:

Shiney,Mr Kandy rang the car hospital this morning and Myrtle goes in on Monday to be fixed.I wouldn't mind but Monday is going to be a good day weatherwise so won't have any transport to get over to the lottie.I wonder if i could get away with using Mr Kandy's bus pass:snork:

I am glad to hear that Mrs Shiney's car got through the MOT ok.I have had my car six years and have only done 18,000 odd miles so i think that is quiet good:snork:

Glad to hear that your back is better today as well Shiney, but do take care with it

Mr Kandy suffers with the White Coat Syndrome but i have never had a problem. It is the dentist that sends my BP through the roof:snork:

Moyra, your levels are excellent so you must be doing things right and your BP is very good so i think everything will be ok when you get the results next week.I will keep my fingers crossed for you:yay:

We luckily only have one bed to strip of sheets but because the sheets are so big i struggle to get them on the curly wurly, but at least Moyra with some sunshine you will be able to get them dry today. As we have rain here this morning i am going to leave doing mine and all the towels until another day when/if the sun shines:snork:

Enjoy your day both of you:spinning:

    Good morning everyone,

Its another HOT day here, feel like thats all i have been saying....and no rain until the first of the week, and fire bans in place!!

I have a couple errands to do for Brad around 9am, and need to get out and water, so i'll take puppy man out with me and wear him out....we kept him on the deck lastnight and wouldnt let him sleep, he went into his crate at 10:30 lastnight and slept until 5am today!! Of course when he saw me and was excited, be peed before i could get him outside.
I thought i would get up with Diesel because one of the girls from Natalie's bridal party was in labor all day yesturday and Amy had her baby around 3:30 this morning, so Nat was with her and didnt get in until 4:30, so i let her sleep.

Well i am off to finish my coffee, and get dressed, since i was up at 5, already showered.....so have a great day everyone.

    Aloha everyone,

They've forecast a lot of rain today but it's just dull at the moment. Back is OK but not up to much gardening as bending is still a problem. I may do some more cutting of the edges. My car passed its MOT, which I expected it to do as it was being serviced as well. So it's already for another year of driving. :dbgrtmb:

Keep well and have a great day

    Good morning Shiney and all,
Sorry to 'hear' your back is playing up again Shiney, take it steady:dbgrtmb:
Moyra ,i hope you are feeling better today and all your bloods come back showing that you are super woman:dbgrtmb:
wishing the Kandys well and the Woos:dbgrtmb:
Penny....a puppy:dancy:....but :phew: they can be tiring....how lovely though...he'll keep you busy...as if you are not busy enough already:)

Our jaunt to the Yorkshire Dales was lovely....the weather wasn't actually too bad ...only one day with persistant rain ..wednesday was a scorcher...we set off on a 9 mile trek...literally up hill and down dale it was marvellous...everywhere looked so beautifull...i especially enjoyed noseying at the cottage gardens we came across....mother nature is the best gardener in the world...everything looked so peacefull and natural:wub2:
Archi and Theo had a great time too...but couldn't let them enjoy the river as it was full to bursting and running very fast ....it was more like white water rapids...quite frightening.....
The chooks on the site were adorable and as soon as we got there i had my chicken 'fix' but can you belive, when the owner of the camp was chatting to me after me showing interest in her chooks she then said she had a very poorly one and could i 'pull' it's neck:yikes:...what a welcome....when i said i couldn't...within 5 minutes the farmer came and the chook was 'no more':phew:
i've also discovered a phobia of cows:scratch:...they never used to bother me but now i'm petrified of them:rolleyespink:...can't understand that one....
I've come home to blighted potatoes so that's my first job of the day:frown:
    Have a lovely day everyone,take care:SUNsmile:

      Aloha Everyone,

Nice to have you back Loli, glad you enjoyed your break. You obviously had better weather up there than we had down here! Rain, rain and more rain........bringing slugs, slugs and more slugs. I don't know where they have all come from. Pulled the last of my beetroot yesterday and cooked it up for the freezer as I haven't got any big jars to pickle it in.

Have a great day everyone. Aloha:wub2:

        Good afternoon everyone,

Late on parade today even though i have been up since silly o'clock:snork:

Shiney,we can send you some of our rain if you want as we have had more than enough now and my lawns are begining to squelch now that they are saturated.I don't think there is any need to ration my water anymore:biggrin: Glad that your car passed it's test ok and that your back is getting better:smile:

Loli, glad to hear you had a nice time up in the Dales and that you got aquainted with some nice chooks although i too wouldn't have been able to have pulled the neck of
        the poorly one:runforhills:

Mr Kandy's sister has been up near Pickering and has had mixed weather but still got damp at times. The road near to where they live has been closed due to flooding and we have textd her to let her know but up to yet she hasn't replied so they will find out when they get diverted later on:biggrin:

Moyra, we are inundated with slugs and snails and i have had to resort to using the old slug pellets because this year has been a nightmare and they are gobbling everything in sight:mad: Hope you are feeling a bit better today:smile:

Anyway, the rain has now stopped but it is too wet for gardening so i am going to download the Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy ready for some light reading :heehee: when there is nothing worth watching on the gogglebox and then i might see if Mr Kandy wants to go for a nice walk this afternoon:smile:

Have a good afternoon everyone :spinning:

Good to see you on here, woo :dancy:

I reckon we may have had flash floods as well but haven't been out to check. For about an hour the heavens opened and it was so heavy that the garden was like a swimming pool but within half an hour it looked fine - but I haven't tried walking on the lawn. :heehee:

I heard a cat miaowing and looked out of the window abd saw a 'new' cat walking by that looked very bedraggled. He was a small black cat I hadn't seen before but he was wearing a collar so I guess he was on the way home.

Slugs are a nuisance this year and we are using a lot of pellets and Mrs Shiney has been on slug patrol every day and collected about 150 each time.

        Good afternoon everyone,
Great to 'see' you Woo....what a wonderfull way to spend a wet afternoon...i must have whatched Geoffs DVD's hundreds of times and yet i could still whatch them a hundred times more:wub2:
I love Pickering and the surrounding area Kandy but this weather does put a dampener on things...if you'll pardon the pun.....
I hope the puss has found his way home out of the wet Shiney....
I can't use slug pellets on acount of the chooks but that's their job....they appear very happy in their work:thumbsup:
        Stay dry and safe everyone:SUNsmile:

        Aloha Everyone!

Got my landlady and her daughter visiting today to inspect all the hard work Steve and I put in to bringing the property up todate. No doubt she will inform me she is putting the rent up!

Loli, I should think your chooks are having a feast these days on the number of slugs that are around. Nice big fat juicy ones for them.

Yuk, just the thought of slugs makes my back crawl.

Shiney, perhaps the little cat was checking your garden out for a nice place to crawl away from home when he wants a bit of peace and quiet! Another body for the greenhouse!

Have a lovely day everyone looks as if it just might be a nice sunny one.

        Aloha:wub2:
