It's not too bad - with pain killers. :) I've only had this problem for about 70 years :old: :heehee:.

In the old days they diagnosed it as rheumatism - translating as 'you have a bad back and we don't know what it is or what causes it'. They tried to 'correct' it in the late fifties by having me in hospital for a 'manipulation of the spine' and it helped a little bit.

Morning all , a bit late this morning oops!

@shiney you and I are partners in pain today my lower back is absolutely awful!!

That has put my plans for more border tidying on hold I fear. Think I got a bit carried away and did too much of the same yesterday. Having Osteoporosis in my lower spine for decades now I should have learnt my lesson.....but nope!

Dosed myself up on my meds....:fingers crossed:, I have planned to do my Dad's garden tomorrow after all his household chores, so things had better improve!

Hubs is celebrating his New Year today, so he's busy preparing a yummy traditional meal.....Mmmmmmm can't wait!!!:hapfeet:

Have a good day and ease up @shiney :blue thumb:

Went to minor injuries department early this morning .....got grit under my eyelid some weeks ago and thought it would clear away on its own. However, a friendly, efficient team located and removed the grit to my relief :)
Better service than I think I would have received at GP. :) It’s not all bad news about changes in the health service. I was impressed :)

Clematis Forever Friends arrived today for my niece. Will plant it tomorrow. Getting expensive adding plants for her new build garden :noidea: :)but, hey ho! She did give me a large piece of lemon cake:hapfeet: yum yum

Not as sunny as I expected today but very warm, even muggy. A couple of hours now to get some jobs done in the garden:loll:

Oh dear @Verdun that sounds horrid it must have been so uncomfortable for you!!! I am surprised you put up with it for a couple of weeks. :yikes: I bet it was pure bliss when it was all removed! Hope it all settles back down soon.

Yes Upsy....it was a relief and thanks :) Silly not to have gone earlier; could have become infected if left much longer
( I am one of those who cannot abide silence in waiting rooms so I struck up conversations with everyone there.....besides it helps time to pass more quickly:)

                        Aloha everyone,

I'm still not in gardening condition but have been drafted in to run a charity event this afternoon for a Zimbabwe charity as the person who was supposed to run it has been called away (haven't the faintest idea what charity).

I said I would do it as long as I don't have to lift or carry anything :). All I have to do is supervise and make sure everything runs smoothly. In other words - order people around. :heehee:

That will keep me busy until 5.30 and then I have to go out for the evening at 6.30. Should be home by midnight. So another lazy day.

Keep well and have a great day

                        Aloha!

I am gingerly walking about as I don't want to make mine worse, have quite a busy day ahead, shopping, cleaning, laundry, and gardening for my Dad . Also a haircut to do later at some point for a wriggling 18mth old....fun!:)

Have a great day everyone !:)

It's different if you're self employed and work from home but at least that's one thing I never had to worry about. I always refused to do any work at home. I even used to take Mrs Shiney in to work in the evening or at weekends if she wanted her hair done. The typical comment from friends when being invited round was 'bring your scissors'. As I said to one of my friends who was an electrician, 'when you're coming round for dinner can you rewire our house?' :heehee: I was always happy to give expert advice but not do any work. :blue thumb:

All my staff were advised not to do work at home, even paid work, otherwise they would end up with no time for themselves. They all had keys for the salon and were able to do any private work there. It's surprising how it discouraged people from asking for freebies. Also the immediate family of my staff liked to have their hair done in the salon. They usually turned up at closing time so the staff could get it done whilst still in work mode. The staff loved the idea and said it made them feel more professional.

                            Good morning folks :)
                            Lovely, lovely sunny morning:SUNsmile:

                            Planted clematis :)

Wasted half an hour earlier trying to sort out issues with Curry’s/PC World/Teamknow. The worst customer service I have known. Well, not quite wasted after I spoke to another agent. Do they listen? Are they bothered?
Well, I dig in until things are sorted.....hopefully they will be now:)

Hi everyone! Sorry I’m late this week, hope your still my friend :cat-kittyandsmiley:....?

I’ve been trying to catch up, sounds like you’ve been doing lots of gardening with your sore backs, hope your feeling better very soon :)

Verdun glad you got that grit out from your eyelid, it must of been so painful, I remember when my dad had to have a tiny piece of metal removed from his eye ouch!

I’ve been to the garden centre today and bought a rhododendron which will have bright pink flowers.
