These are the two main yellow forms available (but not easy to find)
    Callistemon Salignus [IMG]
    Callistemon Pallidus [IMG]
And the difference between the flowers. The larger flower is Salignus . [IMG]

:( strongy, I was hoping to grow one from the seeds you sent me...but a cat used my frame as an indoor toilet and c*****d and p****d in the trays. ... I lost C. Glory vines from Nathan..countless seedlings from PeterS and one of Petes Accacias that looked as if it was half eaten
Any chance of more seeds, as and when, Mate?

Nice plant strongy, I've only got the red ones.
How hardy do you think they might be?
I like Salignus best I think. [IMG]

I've never seen yellow ones either. I do have a Melaleuca (tea tree) same family as Callistermons, which could be white, red or yellow but it hasn't bloomed yet.

    Interesting!

I have a Melaleuca Armillaris which had three small white flowers, it is three feet high and not quite eighteen months old. I ordered the seed on ebay to give it a try and was sent about 2,000 seeds! I hope the flowers will get bigger in time.
Callistemons would do well where you are, some of my seeds came from the Med as did some of my Caesalpinias. I envy you where you live, All those reptiles :D birds and plants we can't grow outside here.! :(

    Strongy,

I would not mind some of the Salignus seeds, if you ever get any spare.
