Hello all. I was wondering if you could help me with my Royal Purple Cotinus coggygria. It's been growing really well, but my only concern is that there are some yellow spots appearing on some of the leaves. Is this something I should be worried about? Thank you in advance :)

Never seen that before! I wonder if it's a variation of autumn colour. They often show the same pattern of spots in red before the whole leaf shows red before dropping.

I wouldn't worry. It's probably just Autumn, and even if it was some terrible cotinus lurgy, what could you do about it? We're all in the grip of fate, just go with it!

Yep, agree with others. In autumn the leaves are simply reacting to colder and darker conditions before leaf fall. Your cotinus will start again next spring as usual. However, just in case, pick up the leaves and clear the site of them and bag up

I think they look rather attractive acather. If they don't look fungal, why not leave them and enjoy?
