                OMG.
                When did that happen!!!!?
RHS are still using the old name. Wish they kept up to date with changes.
Wiki are much better with name changes
Galtonia candicans | summer hyacinth/RHS Gardening

Damn it is took me ages to learn/remember Galtonia candicans...!

Thanks Palustris...I hate giving incorrect info.
I have a wonderful very old program Picassa...where all my pics are /all named.
I can instantly find any pic by searching by name.
I will now go and find all Galtonia candicans and rename them
                Ornithogalum candicans. syn Galtonia candicans.

A very good idea @Silver surfer , thanks!
As long as you stick to Latin names that is... even though they do change annoyingly, common names are much more challenging. Arum:

I just write it underneath, saves ruining a nice picture.

I can't.....that's now it comes out when I edit and then click on add text.

It's no problem really as I take multiple pics of all my plants :heehee:.

I have just had another go and have found out that the text can be moved around the pic so a slightly less obtrusive position and be selected. :dbgrtmb:

                            I'm still using Windows 8.
You just store pictures and can put any text you like underneath, I don t think you can write across a picture like that.
I had an old photo editing programme at one point which allowed you to do that, but couldn't think why anyone would want to.

Oh well this will suit my identification needs...I hope!!;)
I don't use the laptop or desktop computers now as I prefer my tablet. :)
I have created a flower index album on my tablet so these pics will only be going into there.
I still have the plain versions stored in my 'normal ' photo album, so no pics get ruined.:dbgrtmb:
